How to replace my car radio system?
-
what tools do I need? it appears I'd need a tool to pull it out? I hope it's not too hard to do. Are all car radio system the same in size? I'm trying to buy a new one as the one I have, the cassette tape player is non-functional anymore. I need this so that my sirius/XM satellite radio, which I use a cassette adapter to use, would work.

Answer:
depending on the car, it may range from simple prying to unscrewing many screws. there are 2 standard sizes for headunits: single DIN (2"x7") and double DIN (4"x7"). you may need a head unit dash kit to make it fit snugly as it replaces your old head unit, and a wiring harness will make wiring it easier to install. try researching step-by-step instructions on your specific vehicle online.
