Car amplifier to house radio?
-
I have a four-channel amp and two 12-inch speakers. Is there a way i could hook up the 4 channel car amplifier to a simple house radio or portable cd player and play the music from the radio through the amp and my speakers?

Answer:
You would need a way to convert the house 120 volt AC current to 12 volt DC first then you can find wires inside the radio to use for signal wires and do it that way. Thought i may suggest just buying an amp that's for a house and has a house plug. Its much easier.

the main thing you will need is a converter. A electrical converter that will convert AC power to DC power. same as a cell phone charger but on a much bigger scale. in order to find out what size you need you need to find out how many your amps your amplifier is capable of drawing. the purchase the correct converter or "power supply"
