Which amp will sound better?

my friend is giving me a pair of memphis audio 15-PR10D4 they are rated at 250rms/500 peak. he had them hooked up to a memphis pr1-1000 watt mono amp and they sounded ok. im trying to find an amp for them right now and im not sure which one to get. im trying to decide between the rockford p1000-1bd mono amp. or a rockford p500-2 500 watt 2 channel amp. which do you think will sound better?

Answer:
First off, many amps are in Mono which destroy that stereo depth you might be looking for. I say get the 2 channel amp and connect it so you get a wide stereo sound. Easy as pie.

id get the 2 channel amp
it wont matter much now , but if you get the mono block one channel amp say rated at 1000watts rms . you'll have all the power you need for your subs, with the option to upgrade in the future , dont get a silly amp get a . hyfonics , or sundown amp the happier you'll be trust me
