?like a bass tube? Hmmm or like to fit in a spare tire holder in a trunk? It will deffinately have to be custom. After you get the top and bottom circles cut (same circumference), the sides will have to be made of a crap load of pieces of wood ( particle board is best never use plywood)1/2" x 1" and a couple of inches longer than the sub you are putting in. Stack all the pieces like dominos in a circle then sandwich them between the outer peices. Wood glue all together then use a nail gun to fasten them all together. Sand and cover with carpet or fiberglass. This is a big undertaking and each speaker needs a certain amount of airspace to flex. This isn't a easy job to get right the first time. Just work on it. If you need help for real I can email you pics. [email protected]
The only way to really do that is with fiberglass and It get's way too complicated to really explain on here. All I can really say is try and stay sealed because porting a box like that is tricky and if not done right you can easily make your subs sound like ***.
alot of people including myself havee used a product called sonotube. i built one for my home theater with it. it is pretty solid stuff.comes in alot of different diameters http://www.sonotube.com/products.aspx you can find it at any concrete store in your area and get it cut down to length ya want. just have to make sure end caps are perfectly round. i used a jasper jig i believe its called to cut the 3/4 mdf. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=safari&rls=en&q=jasper+jig&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=7028263499998590167&sa=X&ei=mlo9TpO9N-emsAKG9vkU&ved=0CD8Q8wIwAQ#ps-sellers anyone that builds cabinets appreciates a perfect round cut... ya use this jig with a router so you would also need a drill, countersink and good woodscrews. use liquid nails to attach the round cutouts to the sonotube.
