Why did my front car speakers all of a sudden quit?

The front speakers in my car stopped working!!! Why?

  • Ok here's my situation: I have a 95 nissan pathfinder. I have 2 rockford fosgate 5x7s? i think in the front. I have 2 ten inch polk audio subs in the back The problem is all of a sudden my front speakers started popping off randomly, and then would pop back on when i hit a bump or shut the car off and turned it back on. The sound literally is like someone being slapped in the face. Now though, they do not work at all no matter what i do. My subs still work fine, but it sucks because all i can hear is bass! There is a very slight hissing sound coming from both front speakers when i put my ear to them, the hissing sound does not increase when i turn up the volume on my head unit. Someone Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Answer:

sounds like a loose wire going to them. check the wiring going to the speakers. it might be a loose ground wire.
