How do I build a sub box?

Should I Buy Or Build A Sub Box.?

  • I have a 10" Memphis C3 Sub at Memphis they sell one vented for 119. Should i build my own to have it fit right its only 20 bucks for a MDF sheet. I've never built a sub box before so i'll need help and would a regular saw work or do you need a table saw cause i dont have one of those. I already have dimensions for box and port so it can be tuned to manufact recommendations.

yeah go to lowes or home depot and the will cut it for you pretty straight....if you have the time to put in to it yeah build it you will probably save about 50 bucks in materials but if you dont have the time just be a premade box.

Sure you can build your box.. if i were you i would have the place that you buy the mdf cut it to specs for you.. lowes does it not sure about others im sure they do.. seams have to be straight so when box is joined together there will be no leaks. seal all inside seams with silicone after building it.Use a good wood glue to assemble it.
