I was a car stereo installer for 6 years and unfortunately no reputable installer will remove the cd's from factory stereos in cases like this because many of them are held together with rivets or other pieces that require special tools. Installers from trusting places (usually Best Buy or major chain but really anyone from your local area you know to have a good reputation, which believe it or not is a big deal for any installer who cares about his profession) should not accept money for this because the unit will be destroyed. Your other option is to take it to the dealer like you described, which may or may not be cost affective if you enjoy the stereo. A local installer could remove the cd's and hand you back a junked factory stereo if you decide to replace the head unit with a new one, which could be worth the money for you instead of sending it to the factory. A Mach 360 is an amplified stereo that requires by-passing the factory amp and or/purchasing the correct wiring harness. Harnesses can also be expensive to allow an aftermarket to work in the first place. If you decide to go aftermarket and replace your stereo, I would recommend replacing the speakers as well to compensate for the quality of a nice aftermarket head unit. The quality of the Mach 360 from Ford is decent, but if you do your homework and decide to buy an aftermarket stereo (i.e. Pioneer, Eclipse, Alpine, etc.) the rewards can be wonderful if you enjoy high quality sound. I would make sure to get a quote on what it would cost for a decent aftermarket soundsystem to get a better idea of what to do. Remember that going with new equipment will give you longer stereo life if you plan to keep the car.

Other answers

open the stacker up and try to force one of the cds out with like tweezers or long nosed plyers or something, or get rid of the stacker and get a stereo that will play an IPOD

Hey, I just had the same problem recently, I took the dash apart, pulled out the stereo and unscrewed all the screw it pretty much just came apart pulled the cd's out and threw it in the trash. I dont think there is any way to get them out without damaging them besides what i did. If you dont want to pull it out i'm sure an audio specialist will do it for you for like 10 bucks.
