What is a good cheap amp for a fi btl?

If i were to get 2 fully loaded 15 inch Fi BTL's, what kind of amp would i need to run both of the 15s?

  • Also, would a stock alternator and a 1000 amp under the hood and a 2400 and 1400 cold cranking amp kinetic car audio batteries be enough to power them? also, is this the best 15 inch speaker i can get comparing to the RE XXX, Massive SQX and the Orion HCCA

  • Answer:

Well, when you are saying best subwoofer, it really depends on what you are wanting out of a sub. the Orion and Massive audio subs are not that great at all. The RE XXX is a horrible design and has motor noise along with not being very efficient. To help, what exactly are you looking for exactly? As for BTL's, you will need a good 5,000-6,000 watts rms to power them. You will need an upgraded high output alternator with that power long with 3 group 31 batteries in rear as well. I'm not sure about the Best 15' woofers but without a doubt amazing. I think they are rated for around 1000 rms a piece but can take 3-4 times that.. That's what makes them so great, very powerful for a good price. Good choice.

I have never heard a better sounding sub then the Re XXX..These are made by US amp corp.
