Store bought radio..can't hear anything!!?
-
Okay I just traded my car for a 98 Lumina. The car came with one of those store bought radio, not the factory radio. The radio turns on and everything but CANNOT HEAR A THING. I bought a new connector and connected all the wires and couldn't hear anything. What is wrong? Should i buy a new radio and then connect the wires and see if that works?

Answer:
If you have only a radio, no CD, make sure the antennae is connected as well. You can buy a new unit for about 50-60 bucks off ebay, but check your wiring first.

Yes, or talk to the people who traded you the car.
You could buy a new one or check that all the wires are connected right and that everything seems to be in working condition
