Which subwoofers should I get?

I own 3 12" kickers crv's and i love them however they hurt the ears of a lot of people i have sitting in it. i dont know a lot about other subs but kickers are made more for sound pressure (how hard they hit) than they are sound quality. so they hit hard as hell but dont necessarily sound as clean. i dont really notice myself i think they sound fine but thats more up to you. have the right amp to power your subs is very important. you need to choose what subs you want and then pay close attention to the minimum size your box can be and the impedance (ohms) and wattage. when you know all of these things about your subs you can buy a box and the right amp for you. To save money i have two used subs that work fine and i bought a new sub and a refurbished amplifier. Buying it all together may cost you a little bit more money but depending on who you buy it from you could be sure of getting the right stuff. Finally, i realized i had to buy some tweeters for my system because the bass was so strong that it needed some more of the higher frequencies to combat it. i hope this helps a little.

I like alpine. if you want 2 12's and your on a budget get the type E. if you have some extra money get the type R. type e you can get away with one decent watt amp but dual Rs you will need 2 amps. Only get tweeters if you like the highs. I have 2 12 Es with a Boston GT 24 amp and it sounds very nice.
