How to develop a mobile payment system?

Is there something wrong with the HMRC's self-assessment payment system?

• I tried in January to pay my income tax, used the HMRC's online payment system, gave them my bank account details (the correct details, as I double and treble checked), not only did it give the wrong town, but I had a letter through the post several days later claiming that due to an error the payment couldn't be processed. Because of this, I missed the deadline... I tried again, setting up a new payment... with all the correct details again.. 2 weeks later, I've had a final reminder come through the post. I have the funds in my bank account, it's there for them to take, I've filled in the forms etc... yet it's not leaving my account. Not only this, until I was sent the final reminder notice, I could see nothing on the HMRC site that gave me a bank account number to pay to them by setting up the direct debit from my bank account instead of their lousy system. I tried phoning several numbers to talk to someone... but after an hour of listening to the same crappy music and recorded advice on things I already knew... I had other things to be getting on with. Has anyone else had problems with this service?.. are there any contact numbers I can finally get to talk to someone to, to complain about this? Thanks!

  Yes, they are ****** useless. You will need to put up with the "crappy music" unfortunately, or they will hit you for tax evasion. If you're having trouble you can visit your local Citizen's Advice Bureau who can give you the forms you need and help you get in touch with HMRC directly.
