How can I change my address in my paycheck stub?

How do I obtain my W2 since it never came to me?

  • I'm in a different state now. I worked at another state for about 5 months. My old address was being used. The manager I worked with never got to change my check to a new address (my last address prior to my new/current address). Get it? It's complicated I know. I should've had it changed to my last address so it gets forwarded to my current address now. I'm guessing the W2 came to my old address that never got forwarded to my last address. Note: there's 3 address involved here; one is the one before I moved to my last address, it never got forwarded to my last address, thus, in turn it never got forwarded to my CURRENT address. How do I obtain it? Do I really need it? I have my FINAL check. Can I just use my final check/pay stub to file my taxes since all the year's statement is on the final check?

  • Answer:

No you need it. It has numbers you must include on your return. Call and ask for a copy sent to your new address or drive there and get it. This is your responsibility

It's not complicated at all. You didn't notify your former employer of the address change. Happens all the time. Contact them and request a copy. They may charge you for it. And yes you need it.
