I'm getting a new job, and I wanted to know what % of taxes is charged on my pay check?

    Dear C: First you must know how you set up your W4 at work. Single/1 or 0, it makes a difference. IRS Pub 15 has all of the tables your employer uses to calculate your with holding. If you are single and file on your own, it looks like you will not owe any taxes to the feds this year. If your parents claim you then you will be a lot closer to owing the IRS at least a little. Try HR Block.com and their free calculator to see if you will owe or get money back.
