I have lived and worked in Pennsylvania for the past 3 years, but received a New Jersey State Reference Copy?
-
Along with my Federal Filing Copy, PA State Filing Copy and City or Local Reference Copy for Philadelphia, I also got an NJ State Reference Copy that says I made approximately $15,000 in State wsges and tips (Box 16). I have lived and worked in Philly for about three years; the only connection to NJ I could possibly have would be student loans from an NJ State School, but I certainly did not make money, let alone 15 grand, paying student loans on a monthly basis. Meanwhile, my State and City copy say I only made about a third of that amount. This seems very inaccurate to me. Any ideas on what is going on?

Answer:
Who filed your taxes? Seems like they made an error. Talk to them. Should have been expalined when you did your return.
