Is it better to incorporate my nonprofit or not?

I am non-US residents, and have to incorporate in US. If I form a llc or c-coporation, income tax is free?

  • I heard that income from out of US can not be charged as taxable income. is that true? Please don't persuade or judge me. I really cannot incorporate where I live. I live in Japan as a foreigner with working visa. So I cannot incorporate here, I won't come back to my country. But I may go to US someday. So this is inevitable. If I incorporate in US, how can I report things? and income tax is really free?

  • Answer:

No, it is not true. You can incorporate here, but your corporation will pay taxes on ALL of it's income, no matter where it comes from. It will also pay all the payroll taxes that it needs to in order to pay YOU in the end. You'll end up paying MORE tax in the long run on your income most likely.
