Are there programs in California to assist or lower my Property taxes?

  • I keep hearing that people have lowered they property taxes, but they don't tell me anything beyond that. So I'm hoping you guys can help. Is there any programs in CA that will help lower my property taxes. I know re-accessing the property is one option, but it doesn't work for us. Is there any low-income assistant programs? Currently unemployed so reducing the amount of the property tax would truly help. Where to start?
