It sounds like you have an error in your return. I don't know the tax code, but I honestly would call the IRS at 18008290582 and dial ext 462 to get to customer service, and see what the holdup is. Our return went to error processing, then came back out, and we filed on the 20th and should've got it on the 29th. Because of the error (on IRS's part, they admitted), we will get our refund on Friday. I called the IRS back and got a real DD date.

Call the IRS. This problem is very common this year. Call the IRS. If you can't get anyone on the number given by the other person above, try calling 1-800-829-0922. Follow the prompts (press 1 for Refund) etc. I just called not long ago and the wait time was only 5 mins. Good Luck!

According to a few sites, code 9001 is: Taxpayer accessed Refund Status using a secondary TIN. Refund Status could not be returned. Get a Primary TIN Analyze account and follow appropriate IRM. Call IRS and see what they say? Good luck! =)
