How do I know if I'm allergic to something?

How do I know if Im going to owe something for taxes or not? if U claim 1 instead of 0 will that do me harm?

Until my income got past $40,000, I routinely used single 1 and single 2 and didn't owe at the end of the year. The first year you owe, change the numbers around.
