Tax Question - Paid PA taxes while living in WV?
-
My company transfered me from Pennsylvania in December 2007. I just looked at my check stubs and see that I've been paying PA and WV state employment taxes since December 2008. How can I get the PA taxes back? I clearly haven't lived in PA for over 2 years.

Answer:
you file a Pa return for 2008 your tax home is where you worked unless they were temporary assignments, regardless of where you actually live. if you worked in PA in 2007 and continued into 2008, Pa appears to be your tax home, WV as a non resident, or part time
