Why does refund get delayed?

Will my tax refund be delayed? will i get it on the date i was given by hr block?

  • I filed my taxes on feb. 4th with hr block, they told me it would be back today, feb 15b but i haven't received it. I got on "wheres my refund" and they told me i'd have it by feb. 28. Is that an estimate, I'll have it atleast by then or is that the day i'll be getting it back?

    I filed 2/2. Have NEVER been able to access the site, despite checking twice a week. HR block gave me until 21st. Im getting kind of nervous because thats four business days away and the IRS said mine hasnt even been processed yet. In fact, the rep I spoke to said ALL filed in Feb will NOT be refunded for "at least four weeks". This year has been a joke.

Why do people keep saying be patient. IT IS MY MONEY. the government was not patient when they taxed me SO. But I filed on 02/03/2012 and still no DD and I have not receivedd a estimated date

i filed on the 3rd it says at wheres my refund i should have it by the 6th wtf !!!!!! i have bills to pay and things to do, and i have never had to wait a month for a electronic return. not happy . i agree its are money we should not have to wait a month. some people need it and some dont, but those of us who do are hurting and need it now.

I filed mine on Feb. 3rd with TurboTax and was not able to get a DD till 3 days ago from the IRS automated system. It gave me today the 15th but its almost noon and nothing in my account. The IRS site is getting hammered today since a lot of people was giving the 15th so not even able to use the tool. I would normally say that the 28th for you was an estimate but with the way the IRS is going refunds this year I couldn't say for sure since everything is still delayed. They claimed it was only delayed for people filing in January but that was a load of crap. We all are just in a waiting game.
