Irs where's my refund says 2-21-2012?

i was scheduled to get mine by the first but it says 2/21/2012 now do to processing delay. my tax preparer says it still says the first i wonder if i will get it still on the first

I filed my taxes through H&R Block on the 17th. I was accepted on the 18th. On the 21st my status was updated to processing expect your refund by Feb 7th. It took till today 1-29-12 to update to a DD of Feb 1st. I have read many different articles on this. I looked on IRS.GOV and I am guessing that the earlier filers might have been pushed back to make sure they are legit returns. That is only a guess. I did read they are concerned with people stealing info and filing early fraudulent taxes. I have always filed my taxes early, and this year my taxes are coming later then normal by about a week. I also know the IRS had issues with their system and did not catch it till the 24th.

I was told I will recive my tax ck today now where I had my taxes done says the I R S. Are having computer erro.so will be a delay.. That sucks. But it should be here next week but how true that is dont know.

I am sorry to say that i have no answers for you, but I am also in the same boat. I submitted my returns electronically on 1/14/12. I have been accepted by the IRS, and was told I would receive it on 1/31/12. Now Where is my refund status says: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Your expected refund date has been changed due to processing delays. You should receive your refund by February 21, 2012. Please wait until that date to contact us again because we cannot take any action until then. Thank you for your patience WTF does that mean? i am really pissed off because I had plans to move with that money and now I have to forfeit the house that I was going to rent because I don't have all of the money. This mess is crazy and the IRS should be ashamed of themselves.

Yes, checked today and my date was originally on jan 31, 2012 and now its saying Feb 21 2012 due to processing errors. I am not sure what that means. Does it mean an audit or does it simply mean what it says "processing delays".
