• I have figured out how to connect a ps3 to a monitor and posting this to other people who need help. I am using a hp monitor 2311x and works with every other monitors who still have a HDMI port. Step 1: Go on your ps3 to a regular tv that works. Step 2: On your ps3 go to Setting- then go to System Settings Step 3: Scroll dow and you will see Control for HDMI and turn that On (This is a main thing because the monitor can operate the ps3 and diplay the image .It is what your computer does to display its image. Step 4: Now since you have Control for HDMI ON no close your ps3 and now move it to your monitor and connect your hdmi to the monitor and ps3 AND DONT TURN ON THE PS3 WHILE YOU ARE DOING THIS. Step 5: Once your ps3 has a red light which means it is in sleep mode and the hdmi is connected turn it on and Hold the button when you press the power button u will hear a beep when it turns on and then a anothere beep which mean it is checking the display and then you will see you ps3 Step 6: You have finally connected you ps3 to your monitor.
