You first need at least 5 GcsesA-C to include maths, english, and a science subject,2 A levels(preferably maths and physics)20/20 vision upon entry as well as a VERY strict medical and aptitude test to be passed at officer selection at RAF Cranwell on the A17 near Newark. You'd be looking at around 5 years from year 11.However many RAF pilots are getting kicked out because of the cut backs (I was studying with a lot of them at Bristol ground school a few months back doing ATPL),so why would the RAF spend millions on recruiting&training more?
