How do you transfer accounts?

How can i transfer files from two different user accounts in windows 7 ?

  • i need to transfer some files only but not all the files from my Admin account to standard User account.. because i want some of my files to be protected so that other people cant touch it. is there a way of transfering it besides of using USB or CD or DVD in moving the files from admin to standard user or guest

  • Answer:

Create a separate folder that is NOT under the "user" folder for any of the accounts. Best place to do this is right at the root of the hard drive. Then transfer the files into the directory. Because it is not in any specific user's folder it will be accessible by anyone using the computer. Then if you want them in a specific account, log in as that user and then move them under the "user" folder for that account.

you can change the settings on the files so that they can be accessed by all users and not just the account that they are under by right clicking and going to properties. also, you can transfer the files to the shared folder so everyone can access them. however, if you just make them available to other users, the other users still may not be able to see into the individual users folder, so i would suggest transferring them to the shared folder tl;dr transfer the files to the local disk>users>public folder and make sure that everyone has privileges, or the privileges are limited to the desired account.
