How do you delete your account on a computer?

I recently restored my Windows XP computer and the old account in still in the computer, how do I delete?

  • Every time I try, I get "access denied". This folder is using up all the GB on my computer, help :(

    IF YOU HAVE THE SYSTEMS DISK FOLLOW THIS, 1, PUT COMPUTER SYSTEMS DISK IN 2, BOOT FRM CD 3, WHEN YOU HAVE GONE INTO THE SETUP SCREEN WHERE YOU SELECT THE DRIVE YOU WANT TO USE DELETE IT FIRST AND FORMAT IT, 4, CARRIE ON WITH THE SETUP MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP ALL YOUR WORK OR WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO SAVE, HOPE THIS HELPS

Click on the Start Menu, then click Control Panel. In the Control Panel, click User Accounts. Within the User Accounts window, click the User Accounts icon. Select the account to delete. Click on Delete the account. Confirm that you want to keep or delete the user files associated with this account. Note that the final screen shows that the account has been deleted

delete your user acounts and if ur doin a clean install im assuming make sure your delete all the partitions during xp install setup, by hitting d or l for delete, usually bout 5 mins in on the install process. good luck
