Is there a way you can search for an e-mail address?

Does anyone know of a way to do a reverse search for an e-mail address? I need to find out who sent an email.?

A very discriminating e-mail was sent to my company from a yahoo user, and I would like to find out who it originated from. I have searched online, and even called yahoo directly - I can't get the information. Does anyone know of a way around this?
