How do I password protect my printer at my dorm?
-
I'm bringing my printer to my dorm, and with the cost of ink and all, and being a college student I really don't want my roommate using my printer to print all her stuff on since she doesn't have one. And boy does she print a lot of stuff up. I was just wondering how I could password protect my printer so that if she plugged in her computer that my printer would ask her for a password before allowing her to print. Is that possible? If you need to know make an model I can go look and post it.

Answer:
I've never heard of such a thing when hooked up directly. Maybe you can hide, bring with you, or lock up the printer's power brick.
