Can my browser be used to identify my location and contact details when my IP address is shielded or hidden?

Regarding proxy servers... As first they are different types of proxy servers. For example transparent proxy server will give you ability to surf behind proxy server but it will also show your real IP address. Then they are methods to detect of you use proxy servers. Your IP is not really related directly to the browser, but more to the network you have at home. The browser uses that IP when sending 'fetch' queries to the 'Net. It is incorporated into the header as the 'source IP' which allows servers to know where to send the returning packets (aka 'destination'). Many other items are included in the headers of packets, such as what operating system and version; what browser and version; Language; fonts; and some other items. The first jump your traffic makes is always to the ISP. Proxy services would be after that, which is the destination IP returning assets would 'see', but the ISP would still be involved because they are the node on the 'Net from which your packets are launched, and to which the proxy would send packets (destination); then forwarded to you. Identity could be from cookies the browser accepts, which the returning asset could query the system for.
