Vista guardian virus!?

  • So my laptop got the Vista Guardian Virus. I have googled it and it says to delete these two files %Documents and Settings%\[UserName]\Application Data\av.exe %Documents and Settings%\[UserName]\Application Data\WRblt8464P but i have no idea where those files are! any help?? this is the link to the website in which told me how to get rid of the virus http://www.removevirus.org/vista-guardian-2010.html

  • Answer:

I think you should run a system scan with a reputable anti-malware software instead of manual removal. Besides Vista guardian may come bundled with other malicious software that may not included in the manual removal steps. I recommend reading this Vista guardian removal guide http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2010/01/how-to-remove-vista-antispyware-2010.html
