My MySpace and Twitter account have both been hacked. How do I stop this?

I've scanned my laptop with Avast!, but it didn't find any viruses or infected files. My MySpace and Twitter accounts have been hacked into, though. I know this because my statuses were updated with offers on how to make more money, which includes a website link. It's only happened once to each account, but I don't want it to happen again. I'm not sure how this happened, but I'm not sure what to do about it, either. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

is your avast anti-virus is updated? make sure to update it first before scan but if it is updated and you scanned your laptop again and nothing wrong w/ your laptop its not a virus maybe your password is easy to hacked try to change password in your account and use special characters symbols and numbers i hope it helps :D

Maybe you are giving out too much info you could say lots of things about yourself on the website what i think you should do is change you password to something that even you can remember and keep it on you cell
Change your password, NEVER click on the stuff that offers neat backgrounds and asks you to fill out forms to get it, and make sure it's a good password that's hard to crack. Don't use words in the dictionary, use numbers and symbols, uppercase and lowercase, the longer the better, and never give it out.
