What does the Hebrew language have to do with Information Security?

Learning a foreign language is like learning a computing language. It is foreign. Almost everyone have some exposure to the "standard" foreign language like spanish, english (if you are from a non-english country), and french. Most if not all those languages are offered in US high schools. So it would not be "learning" a new language. It would be like a quick refresher course for a lot of students. But learning an out there foreign language like hebrew would be really learning. It forces you to think outside the box. By forcing the student to think outside the box, you force the student to think differently. I do not think the school is all about using the foreign language to understand information security but more on how to think. Plus there are a number of small but powerful software companies based out of Israel. So I would not be surprise that one of those companies might be recruiting from that particular school and the school is obliging with the hebrew language course. Good luck with your studies.

Israel does alot of research and such, that's probably why.
