How to change password on Macbook Pro?

  • I would like to change my password on my Macbook Pro but don't know how. I know the current password. I would just like to change it. Any suggestions? Thanks:)

Its easy! :) Click on "System Preferences" in the dock. Then click on "Users and Groups" Once you open that, you see your name and icon and all. Next to it, you see "Change Password" After you can change your password and hint and all. It gives you other options as well like you can change the length and all. Hope this helped!

Log in, and go to system preferences. ALL settings for your macbook pro can be found under system preferences. It's the grey icon with gears. Click that and at the search bar at the top either type in "password" and then select the option "Login name and Password" OR Click the "two people" icon labeled "Users & Groups" - find your account in the list on the left, and click it. There should be an option to change your password :) Go to
