How to transfer installed programs from old computer to new?

Computer installed programs by itself, I have no idea how.?

  • Looking through my programs list in the start menu, I realized I had about 10 programs that I NEVER installed, and they were all at the end of the list. The first one was Microsoft Silverlight, and when I opened the program, it said "The following websites are using your computer for storage" and the only website listed was "brugervenlighedsteden.dk" , i tried visiting this website but browser did not find anything. There is no info about this site anywhere on the net. Other programs I found were: Motorola Desktop app Blackberry USB app Ogg Codecs Samsung Mobile USB driver Casio USB driver Smartsound Quicktracks plugin ABBYY FineReader 6.0 Sprint I uninstalled everything but I am worried someone hacked my computer

  • Answer:

dont uninstall those! those are apps for phones that i assume u have and drivers! i dont know what some are. Microsoft silverlight is kind of like adobe flash player and u should have kept it. remember, some things came installed on your computer when u bought it and for good reason. the apps and drivers u listed install automatically when u plug in the device they go with.

These programs are probably just drivers and plug-ins that were installed when you used things, such as a Motorola or Blackberry phone, as well as other things that you connected to your computer using a USB cable. Microsoft Silverlight is a plug-in from Microsoft that can help you do some things online, using Internet Explorer, as well as other things, I believe. If you would like more information about Microsoft Silverlight, perhaps you should visit the Microsoft Silverlight website. http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/ If you're concerned that there may be a computer virus or other malicious file or program on your computer, I would suggest that you run both an antivirus scan, as well as an antispyware or antimalware scan. If you need a free antivirus program, I would suggest that you try using Microsoft Security Essentials, which can be downloaded from the link below. http://Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials If you need a free antimalware program, perhaps you should try using MalwareBytes, which can be downloaded from the link below. http://MalwareBytes.org Also, perhaps you should consider trying Mozilla FireFox, which is a free browser that is safer than Internet Explorer and can also be customized with a variety of different add-ons and themes. If you'd like to try using Mozilla FireFox, you can download it from the link below. http://Mozilla.com Good luck and I hope I helped you!

ABBYY FineReader 6.0 Sprint is OCR software that usually comes with your scanner. A great program that you may want if you ever need to scan documents for changes or storing as text. You may want to pay a little more attention when loading new software since a lot of these are added in when you install other software, especially if you choose the Typical option of installation. In the future click on Custom instead to see exactly what is going to be placed on your PC.
