Is bearshare virus free?

Bearshare was installed then uninstalled and is still messing up my computer. No virus detected. What do I do?

  • When Isearch for something in my url, it either takes forever to get to that site, or takes me to Google and says "oops, we could not find Bearshare.com". It's no longer installed but is still showing up on my computer.... How do I fix that problem?

Run a "System Restore" and when you start up again, run a complete system cleaning and scan for any more potential disruptions. If you're not sure then, go to CNET.com and search "ADVANCED SYSTEM CARE-Free Edition", or "C-Cleaner" from Piriform, and download one or both, follow the instructions and clean the junk, registry, malware, adware and so forth. Both of those cleaning softwares run exceptionally well side by side. Then restart your system and you should be clean enough..

You definitely have some sort of malware. Antiviruses arent usually too good at detecting malware. Download http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and run it. It should help.
