I keep getting DoS attacks..?

• Hello, for the past week now, I have been getting DoS attacks and it has been shutting off my internet connection. The attacks happen periodically throughout the day and come from a few different ip addresses. I have comcast high-speed internet and a Belkin N router. The firewall on the router lists the times of the attacks and that's when the internet is shut off. Is there anything I can do about this on my own or should I contact comcast and have my ip changed? It's getting really annoying because I'll be doing something and it will slow the internet down, then shut it off completely. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you..

  There's not a lot you can do, try contacting comcast. Or, your firewall is being proactive and blocking too much. A certain amount of noise and scanning is normal, and should not affect performance. If your total allocation of upload bandwidth is being consumed by replies to the attack packets, that's different.
