First run the notepad as administrator and open the file C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\host If you if find like this after the default text 127.0.0.1 facebook.com 127.0.0.1 yahoo.com (IP address can be different ) remove this text and save it ......... visit the site which i have provided as source ....... If it works please select it as the best answer .......... --------------------------------------… AFTER I TRIED TO DELETE THIS WHAT IT SHOWS ME Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # ::1 localhost --------------------------------------… NOW MY QUERY WHICH PART I SHOULD DELETE IN THE ABOVE TXT FROM THE NOTE PAD

Your HOSTS file is okay and you do not need to change it. Though I suggest that you change your DNS servers to Google DNS. Google public DNS servers are faster and you would notice the change immediately. You can use the Public DNS server tool for change the DNS servers. http://www.trishtech.com/downloads/dnstool/index.php

if that is all you see when opening the hosts file in your notepad, then you do not need to delete anything at all. close the file without saving it, then open your web browser and type www.facebook.com or type facebook then hold ctrl and hit enter. this is a quick trick i found that adds www and com to the begining and end of the address you type. if this fails, then you may want to check your computer for viruses and malware. there are numerous freeware solutions for this on the internet

the two line containing localhost ip and fb and yahoo adress
