How do I remove Trojan TJ/BZ?

Help please, reinstalling OS X to remove Trojan?

  • Right so, I think I accidentally installed a trojan yesterday, I was prompted for my password while half on it/half writing and I assumed my Macbook was 'asleep' so I typed it in, since then I've been constantly redirected whenever I browse online, mostly to apparent phishing sites. I can't afford to download a virus check and I really don't know which ones are trustworthy anyway. (Please no comments on how this one of what one is trustworthy, I have no money!) So I'm considering just backing all my docs/photos up on an external hard drive and rebooting the system, it sounds drastic but I'm upgrading to a pro in a few weeks and I really can't tolerate this in the meantime due to my work. I'm just wondering if this will remove the possible Trojan, the Trojan can't be attached to docs/pictures can it? I'm really quite dumb when it comes to the virus world as an Apple person! Also I followed this very helpful article http://www.macworld.com/article/60823/2007/10/trojanhorse.html But I couldn't see anything wrong when I used Terminal, I couldn't find 'plugins.settings' on Internet Plug Ins however there were TWO grey IP address in my Advanced Preferences > DNS and not a single one in black. I followed the instructions and corrected this and now both are in black. Basically ignore the latter part if it's of no help, I just really want to know ASAP if rebooting my system will remove any Trojans? Thank you in advance!
