Virus scan in safe mode?

I have a virus on my old computer, if I run a virus scan in "safe mode" will it still detect it?

    Hadd a virus on my old computer had to do some digging to get rid of it . I ended up running Malwarebytes anti malware ..... this finally got rid of it . I was ages getting the right thing to get shot of it . I dont no if this will help you but its worth a go . You will have to download it ..... if your computer will still allow you to download . Best of luck .

once you are sure you have a virus the best thing is to format your pc.

If the virus is in the anti-virus datsa bank, it will, if it does not, try a anti-malware program in safe mode with net working.

yes and no depending what you scan with . not all virus tools catch everything , free or paid scan with http://malwarebytes.or in safe / turn off your system restore ( why you used it , it is now in your restore catch alive ) . load malwarebytes / update / disable your wifi or unplug your ethernet cable / scan on full
