How long does hotmail account stay active?

Need Help deleting a windows live hotmail account?

• Okay I need help with deleting my windows live hotmail account. I've tried to do it, but it won't let me. I'll tell you what steps I have been through: 1. I Sign in to Windows Live Hotmail. 2. I click on "Options" then go to "More Options" 3. Then under "Manage your account" I go to "view and edit your personal information" 4. Then it goes to a page called "Account overview" 5. I then go look under "Other Options" and click on "Close your account" it then says all that other crap are you sure you want to delete "[email protected]?" (no that's not my live address, I just don't wanna use my real name here.) 6. Where it says "Verify idenity to close your account" I put in my password. Simple right? It's over and done with? Wrong 7. It then says "windows cannot close your account because There is a Microsoft e-mail account (Windows Live Hotmail) associated with your account. To close your Windows Live account, you need to close your Microsoft e-mail account first. After a period of inactivity, your Windows Live account will automatically be closed. Close your Microsoft account" Okay so I try this: I click on the "Close your Microsoft account" link, then I go to "delete" and then it says "Your account is deactivated, it will be up for 120 days (something like that) then it will be able to be used by other people." So does this mean "my [email protected]" account is deleted?
