Webcam Starting Itself Dont Know where its broadcasting too?

  • Hello, My webcam light on my laptop is coming on itself and I go into my dell webcam central and it says close other webcam applications to use webcam and it usually says that if you are using Skype or something but I am not , so I went it my process's list and I ended one called "fmenrogv.exe" and it turned off any ideas what it is ?

    I think that you got a virus that opens your webcam and broadcast the images to some server .... Check your computer for viruses. Try avg free edition, its a pretty good anti-virus software.

I googled that... if the name was accurate, it does not show up.. thus, I would suspect a trojan hack or virus.. run spybot to see if that "sees" it 99% of all legitimate processes are documented somewhere on the net and are easy to find simply by googling.. if you cannot find it listed SOMEWHERE, it is likely to be malware of some kind... but the name MUST be correct.. exactly as it appears.

Wow, that is really scary.. I've never heard of a virus like that.. But anyways you need to download an antivirus. Try MalwareBytes. I love that one. It works excellent.
