How do you block pop ups in Google chrome?

How do I stop these pop-ups?

  • I use Google Chrome as my primary browser, but I get Internet Explorer pop-ups very often. How do I stop this? This all started when I allowed pop-ups for a gaming site. I have stopped using that site and set the pop-up blocker to block all pop-ups; I don't have any sites listed in my exceptions.

    Check your Internet Explorer [ADD ONS] to see what addons might have been installed in IE when you went to the site (or some other site). Then try disabling all the addons in IE and close IE and open it again and see what happens. If the pop ups are still coming up then most likely, you have a malware/spyware on your computer. In that case, consider downloading, installing and scanning your computer with Malwarebytes (it's FREE to scan which is all you need). Let me know how you get on.
