What's causing warnings when clicking a link in a newsletter/email message?

Help I got doped into clicking a link and my ip was tracked and I was directed to the fbi website?

  • So some dude posted a link about kenye west and it was a tiny url link and being the moron I am I clicked it. A Message poped up saying my ip and mac were tracked for trying to get child pornography but I seriously wasn't and then it re directed to the fbi website. So do I ave anything to worry about? Is the FBI realling going to come to my house or will they be able to tell I was dooped into clicking the link? I'm not the only one who fell for the sick joke so what can I expect will the FBI come knocking on my door or will they be able to tell I had no intent to get child porn and then go after the poster of the link or was the whole thing a big prank that I'm freaking out about?

  • Answer:

huh it's fake.... You might already have a bunch of virus too if you clicked on it. Use combofix from bleepingcomputer.com, then go download malwarebytes from softpedia.com or cnet.com and use it, then clean the rest of the virus with superantispyware from softpedia.com or superantispyware.com, and for future protection use avira as antivirus and a good firewall such as Online Armor or Outpost Firewall.

Hahaha you got off with an easy prank...My friend makes stuff like these and he sent me it and I was all worked up about it for 2-3 days and then he called my house and had his uncle pretend he was the FBI...

it's a joke. The FBI doesn't warn you they are coming. Then you could just destroy the evidence
