Computer troubles?

Help, I have Admin troubles on my computer!?

  • When i bought my new computer, i was the admin! after a year my computer got wierd. I was locked out of my files, meaning i could not save, get in, or delete folders because i wasn't the admin??? This issue had never happened before. Now i have to go to the properties of a file and select it to grants acess to the account im using (named Anthony) because for some unknown reason i am no longer the admin Im am using a Dell laptop, Windows 7 Home P. Also because of this updates from severs like apple wont work because it seems to have blocked my ports as well, in other words i cant restore, or update my ipod on my computer.

Other answers

If you can boot the computer in safe mode, you will see the welcome screen with two user accounts one being Administrator and the other being (in your case) Anthony/Admin.. Log into the Administrator user account, unless you assigned it a password it does not have one, then once signed in (There will be a screen asking if you want to go to restore or enter the account)(per say) enter the account, go to control panel/user accounts and change the password and save to the Anthony account. close everything and shutdown the computer, restart and you should be able to enter your Anthony user account. Or try your restore option first.
