What is wrong with the internet(or my computer?

What's wrong with my computer? Computer experts, please help!! :)?

  • Ok, I have Norton Antivirus and Spy Sweeper installed on my computer. About a month or so ago the Norton subscription ran out and the Spy Sweeper subscription ran out a long time ago (at this time I don't have the money to be paying for something monthly). Even BEFORE the subscription ran out, I would consistently see this Norton pop-up saying there was a virus on my computer, but when I would run a scan it would say there was nothing there. At this point, I don't get that pop-up anymore, but I haven't done anything differently. Also, sometimes when I'm on a website I will get transferred (without clicking on anything) to some other website saying I've won something. I always quickly click off that though. And sometimes when I use google it will do this too. Lately my computer is freezing up and I can't get it to unfreeze, it continuously says I have dangerously low disc space (even after I free up space on the hard disc) and says I don't have enough space to defragment. I barely have anything downloaded on this computer. Also, after I did a windows update the computer had trouble starting and I had to start it in safe mode at first and then it finally started in it's normal mode and since then I've been afraid to turn it off. Before we had someone fix this computer, we had a problem where it would bring up the black screen saying it was shut down wrong and different options to restart, act like it's going to start normally, but then take us back to the same screen so I don't want to have that happen again. I know this is a lot of info, but I really need some help. I don't know what to do. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks is advance.

  • Answer:

Uninstall those two programs along with any other trialware. For this Google redirecting virus,go to CNET at http://www.download.com and install the trial version of Hitman Pro.Register the product to activate it and run a scan.later you can uninstall it too. After that install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and run a complete scan in safe mode. You'll need an anti-virus so get Avira AntiVir Personal 10 (free edition) Also get the free version of Ad-Aware
