What's My IP?

Put all header info into IP search and that's what it told me the entire path it took to get to me?

  • I don't understand how it could be the exact same path when he emailed me "supposedly" from Texas" and now from UK...still using same email address but IP header info exactly the same. I told him this and he says he's 'Insulted" and I told him I'm insulted until he can prove to me that I am wrong. I also read that an IP STAYS with each computer. He says he has a laptop...so do I. I checked my IP and it says I'm in Madison, WI and I am NOT. It's at least a 4 hour drive away from me and in another state, but it also told me that it is the company I DO use for my internet service provider so really don't know what to think at this point. I don't want to accuse someone if I am wrong, on the other hand if he is a liar I REALLY do need to know! Oh, I do know that he is working for the same company on an oil rig (again supposedly) so perhaps that company has same IP address, is that possible? Thanks again!!!

    SOmetime is trakcing and accuracy also depend on IP database that you use. I have good experience with email trackers below: http://www.ip-address.org/tracker/trace-email.php http://www.ipaddresslocation.org/email-tracking/email-header.php http://www.find-ip-address.org/email-search/find-email.php Simple copy/paste full email header and you are done.

Sewrob gave you a perfectly good answer to this the last time you asked. The email address header can only tell you where the email server is, not him and his laptop. An IP address does NOT stay with the computer.
