What's it like to be a security guard?

As a security guard what do you do?

• 1.) If your a security guard and you see smoke and a fire in a building what do you do? 2.) You are at your security post, and an employee becomes angry when you request an inspection of his/her possessions, what would you do? 3.) How would you handle a client's employee who does not have proper ID to enter the building? 4.) During your shift, you ask an ex-employee to leave the client's premises. The individual ignores you and proceeds to enter the building. What would you do?

  1. Contact the fire department immediately. If you have already, sound the fire alarm and assist in evacuating the area without compromising safety. 2. Advise the employee that is part of company policy that they be searched to enter. If they refuse, deny them entry and contact their supervisor as well as yours. 3. Tell the employee they can't enter because they don't have proper ID. Its simple policy. 4. Tell the employee they can't enter and they must leave. Tell them they can be arrested for tresspassing. If they refuse, contact the police.
