My google links bring me to the wrong and random websites?
-
I've recently ran avg to delete the couple of viruses I had, I ran malware bytes and removed malware, and I've been clearing up registry problems with CC Cleaner. Now the only problems I'm having after doing all of this is on the Internet. Whenever I google something and click on a link to a website I want to go to on google, the link takes me to a different website and not the one I wanted to go to. Also, the links take me to fake advertisement websites. These aren't pop ups because I have a pop up blocker, it just takes me to a website I don't want to go to when I want to go to the link I clicked on in google. I fixed a rundll error at startup with RegCure, but RegCure found several hundred problems, and will not fix all of the problems in my registry unless I buy the full version. Like I said I did CC cleaner also, but the links I click on in google from what I'm trying to search for brings me to a different website and website with advertisements. How do I fix this problem even after doing all that I've done?

Answer:
RegCure and AVG aren't really that good -- I would stick with just CCleaner and Spybot: Search and Destroy. The first thing to do is make sure that in CCleaner you have all the applicable fields checked; there are a couple of significant sub-menus, and a couple of the problem removals require a restart. If the problem still isn't solved, run Spybot as the admin after booting your PC in Safe Mode -- this can preempt most viruses that activate at startup. However, Spybot is primarily geared towards spyware -- so if the problem remains, get a free trial of one of the really powerful and expensive anti-viruses and run it in Safe Mode. As a last resort, download Hijack This. This program has the power to destroy your computer, as it overrides the safety measures initially put in place by Microsoft/Apple. There are a couple of internet tutorials, however, that can tell you what is and isn't safe to delete.

Ok here's what you do. "My Computer > C/: > WINDOWS > system32 > drivers > etc" Double click on "hosts" and open it as notepad. In there you should find this. # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host 127.0.0.1 localhost If not then copy this and paste it into there and save it. Also download Hitman Pro 3.5 it's a free cloud protection program. It runs 5 different protection software's at the same time. http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro I hope this helps. Goodluck!!!!!

Regcure is viewed as a rogue program, delete it. Run TDSSKiller: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208280684 then run: Free Superantispyware: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/SuperAntiSpyware.html
maybe you used a wrong registry cleaner and try to use the Best Registry Cleaner. http://www.registry-cleaners.biz/
I recommend scan your computer with MalwareBytes for viruses. You can download it there: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
