If you are using multiple email addresses, is there any way for someone else to find out that they are yours?
-
For instance, if I have 4 email addresses I'm using, is there any way for someone to find out (via the internet) that they are all associated with me? Or is there any way for someone to find out my other email addresses?

Answer:
One way someone could do that is if they found out one of your email addresses and also your IP address. Go to http://whatismyipaddress.com/ to find your IP address. They could then do a "back search" to find out which sites you have gone to using that computer connection. This is very difficult and highly unlikely. Another way is if they planted a program on your computer which allows them to get remote access to your computer. Example: PC Anywhere. Then they could be "on" your computer while you navigate to each of your email sites. Another way is if a site that you were on downloaded a "keylogger" onto your computer. This program would keep track of all your keystrokes and send it back to the malicious hacker. Also, some "phishing" software could send info back to the server of a hacker. This info may be enough for them to find your email addresses. All of these are possible but unlikely. Probably the most likely way that people get their email addresses stolen is by a friend or former girlfriend who had access to your computer while they were at your house and logged into your email (yahoo.com, gmail.com, etc.) and it automatically came up with the last email id you were using. [Most email providers do this as a convenience to you, but it is really quite the opposite sometimes.] This is why it is really important to ALWAYS log out from every site you log into. But as far as I am aware of, there is no way that someone can google or search for your name and get all your email addresses... or search for one email address and get all the related addresses. There is no central database for that sort of thing since it would violate most every Privacy Law in the U.S. Also Interpol or IC3 would probably pursue those people who were involved in such activities. No, but it depens on you.
there is ALWAYS a way! if you sent them an email from all four, they can get your IP address..
Not at all unless there's user profiles behind them such as those found on Yahoo!, Hotmail, Verizon, Gmail, etc. If you create a profile with similar information and the person you send an email to looks at those profiles, then you can be found out.
Only if they somehow obtained your ip address. Or if you linked them via yahoo.
