How can I get a person's IP address from a different country?

Recently someone contacted me from Argentina. I think it was my ex bf but with a fake profile. I want to find out his ip address to see if its him. Or someone trying to pull a very dirty joke on me. Can I do it with his current facebook?

It's impossible to do through Facebook. You need to have them send you an email so you can trace the IP from there http://aruljohn.com/info/howtofindipaddress/ Maybe write back to the person to say that because you have a stalker you are closing your Facebook account and he has to contact you by email -- then create a new email address that you don't use for anything else. Block the person on Facebook and make sure your settings are Private so only your friends can see you so they can't access your page. Then wait for them to email you But the IP address does not show their home address - it only shows the city where the message was sent from. So if it's a friend or your ex and they live in your city, then you wouldn't know who was behind it -- only that it was someone from your city

No you can't do this. Facebook would know the user's IP address in their web logs however they would not disclose this information to you unless you had a supena from the police. See here for more information
