How to get IE8 back? installed IE9 and hate it?

I downgraded to ie8 and now I can't go back to ie9. Any solutions?

I accidentally clicked something on my toolbar settings that screwed with the bing toolbar and made it all short and just plain awkward to use. I uninstalled ie9 by going to programs and features and uninstalling internet explorer nine under the tab. This is where i went: Control panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Installed updates. From there, I scrolled down to the tab, Microsoft Windows. Then I deleted internet explorer 9. Then I restarted my computer. After starting back up, it had been downgraded to ie8. I went to the ie9 website and clicked download internet explorer 9. But it doesn't work. Right when it finishes installing it says this: Internet explorer did not finish installing. It recommends looking at the troubleshooting guide, but as usual, that didn't help at all. Anyone know how to fix this? I really hate ie8 (hah, that rhymes).
